This summer I bought an acoustic guitar from my B-I-L and almost every day I’ve been reliving memories from my early teenage years as fingertip callouses appear. I still have my original Mel Bay basic guitar book from those lessons, unbelievable… I’m not a hoarder but I do keep some nostalgic things like historic old newspapers and three guitar books. My kids will throw them out one day after I am gone.

Looking back, I regret selling my electric guitar way back when our kids were young. Teaching old concrete fingers dexterity is a challenge, so there willbe no concerts, ever. This is one of those just for me things that Ihave been enjoying. Music stirs the soul…  

Book stuff.

Changelings, my latest novel is progressing nicely. I have set December 1, 2026 as the publication date, so be prepared for the annoying onslaught of advertising that every author has to do. Three December Book events are on the calendar, and all of that information is coming very soon, as is the cover reveal.

Off to rake leaves and dream of other stories to share.
